Mount Mottarone and Lakes Orta & Lago Maggiore

Welcome to this adventure that suits all cyclists regardless of previous experience. We can offer everything from very technical cycling to slightly easier riding on singletrack trails. There are also dirt roads for those who are completely new to MTB cycling. Regardless, you will be able to enjoy fine cycling in a landscape that is guaranteed to make you want to pick up the paint brushes to be able to recreate the feeling. 
The area between lakes Orta and Lago Maggiore offers a spectacular range of different trails around Mount Mottarone. This area is located in northern Piedmont, near the border with the canton of Ticino in Italian Switzerland. Here we can offer both steep ascents, breathtaking descents and at the same time the opportunity to enjoy the magical view with lakes on both sides. On the horizon, Monte Rosa will always be visible as an unreal beautiful backdrop. There is ferry service across both lakes, allowing for flexibility in planning today's bike ride. 
It is easy to fill a week with activities in this beautiful area. The local paths through beech and chestnut groves allow you to easily move around the area on your mountain bike. 
We advise you to avoid the area during July and August due to the large number of tourists arriving which makes it a little more difficult to move freely, mainly it gets noisy around trains and buses, but otherwise the area offers cycling of the highest quality regardless of the season (provided the snow allows cycling)
If you use an e-bike, which you can rent through us, there are practically no limits to how you can set up your bike tour. However, if you want to cycle without electricity, we recommend that you use the shuttle service to get up the steep slopes. Beside Lake Maggiore, the cable car is accessible from the town of Stresa up to the top of the Mottarones, where you can look forward to a fantastic descent on the bike saddle.
